It's SUMMER TIME!!!!!! 

Waaahooooo Baby Girl!!!

Oh my goodness!  I'm so excited to spend the summer with you!

Here are some highlights of the last month ~

My First Official MOTHERS DAY!

The Boys really did it up nicely this year! We had a GREAT party at the Tyree's lovely home - every moment was special and relaxing. We are so lucky to have them as 'family'.

In late May you had your first ear infection Boooooooo  :(((( So you had to stay home from daycare - But Grandpa Joe stepped up to plate and stayed with you all week! We think you have 'imprinted' on him. (Update: We know you have imprinted on him. You go CrAzY for Papa Joe - always)








At the end of May your Grandma Martha and Great Aunt Dawn visited! It was so darn awesome to have them both here visiting. They of course are completely smitten with you.....I get it, you're amazing. One morning (Tuesday, May 26th) I was leaving for work and I turned around to see you SITTING UP ALL BY YOURSELF! We all pretty much freaked out. Milestones baby, milestones.

Your Daddy and Grammy experimenting with Dutch Oven Cooking - I think it was a peach cobbler. 

Your Grammy Mary retired from an awesome career in education. I know she is happy to be able to spend lots of time with you!! We celebrated with her and the Tyree's at a really cool place called Bodovino. 'You' gave her a cute book about camping called 'The Scardy Squirrel'.  You weren't there,  but your Auntie Sara happily stayed with you and snuggled your face off.

Your Dad and I and you cruised up to McCall for a little R&R the first weekend of summer. We had a great time of course bopping around with you.  We took you to the Sushi restaurant and dipped your toes in Payette Lake. You played in the sand a little bit too - but not for long because you tried to eat it (EVERYTHING goes in your mouth these days). We went for a lovely drive/hike too and saw lots of pretty wildflowers.

7 Months and Happy Easter Little Lambchop!

Springtime is one of my favorite times of the year babycakes! I love seeing the fresh flowers pop up from underground, the trees blooming, the LILACS bursting. + PLUS + It's my birthday and Easter in Spring!

Today is your first Easter holiday! Right now you are sleeping (along with everyone else in the house) but later on we will give you a little bath, dress you up, and head over to Grammy and Grandpa Gordon's house. We'll try to make it to Mass, but who knows, we are not all seeming very motivated at the moment. I am CERTAIN that next year we will do all sorts of fun Easter-y things - like hunt for eggs in the yard - you're just a little too little for that this year. (update: we made it to Mass)

 Pretty much everything revolves around feeding you......LOL

Last week your Dad took me out to a very lovely dinner at Asiago's for my birthday. Everything was so delicious and we had a great time talking and dreaming about things together. When we had savored the last drop and the licked last schmear of dessert - we tried to think of something else to do to extend the evening a little bit - but we just looked at each other and laughed and agreed that all we really wanted to do was get back to see you. We're so in love with you!

Field trip to the Boise Co-op to buy my Baby the BEST food. 

Another fun thing that happens every spring is the IEA Delegate Assembly. It's a chance for teachers from all over Idaho to get together and get all 'teacher-y' and political. It's great. The highlight this year was showing off pictures of you of course.

Later in the day the Gordon's and the Tyree's went to the Blue and Orange BSU spring football game. Your first time in Bronco Stadium! What a blast. Lots more football to come......

APril 25th = YoU ArE CraWlinG!!! Ohhh my goodness. Our whole world has just changed! The pets are a little bit annoyed with your ability to move into their space - but we think it's pretty darn cute.

A few more fun things: We took you down to the Farmers Market one Saturday and strolled around. I haven't been in a while and it was just perfect weather. After we stopped by Cloud 9 Brewery for a snack (you were sleeping in your car seat, so we just took you right in!)

A Special Day and SPRING BREAK!

Hi Babycakes ~

Oh glorious Spring Break! It's finally here! This year we packed in the fun:

• On Friday March 21st we invited our closest friends and family to celebrate your Baptism. We asked Ang and Jaspur to be your Godparents and fortunately they said YES! They traveled all the way from Montana to be with us and to honor you. We all gathered at St. Mark's and enjoyed a wordy ceremony from Deacon Mike (the same man who married your Dad and I). You were blessed up one side and down the other! 

• Afterwards we all went over to Sockeye Brewery (appropriate place to celebrate a Baptism right?!) and ate delicious food and drank delicious beer and visited with everyone. It was a really nice time. You were also given some really nice gifts and cards from friends and family afar. You are loved. 

• On Sunday we were supposed to fly to Phoenix - but things got a little delayed with the flights out of town - but soon enough we were on our way to meet your GREAT Grammy and Grandpa Cudnohufsky and Great Aunt Bonnie!!! Your first flight! It actually went really well - you were a total champ. I think your Dad was the most wound up out of the three of us :) 

• We had a marvelous time lounging around in the sun, swimming, strolling, checking out the Botanical Gardens....your Dad even made it to a spring training baseball game! I hope we go back again next spring ~ it is a much shorter flight then all the way to Michigan!

Now we are on the countdown to SUMMER!!
