The Planets really DO revolve around the Sun!

This glorious event will never happen again in our lifetime.....so here are some pictures for our memories......Venus is moving between the Earth and the Sun - so that we may see it transiting across the face of the Sun.

Venus is the large black dot in the upper left corner.
These pics are about 15 minutes apart.
The smaller black dots are sunspots.

A few weeks ago there was an Annular Solar Eclipse visible from here in Boise and I was able to pass along ~275 pairs of solar viewing glasses. I encouraged everyone to save them to be able view today's event as well, but unfortunately it is very cloudy / rainy here today. ; (  YEA - for other nerdy people around the world posting their live feeds.

Here are a few pics that I took of the Solar eclipse on May 20th:
Crescent shaped Sun/Moon shadows, through the tree, on the fence.

The Moon and the Sun, having a little party.

Everyday is Saturday

Today is Monday, but it's hard to tell in my world. It's 9am and I just woke up. Yes, I woke up at 5:30 to the birds squawking, at 6:30 to Ruby licking my toes, and again at 7:30 as Jason left the house to go to football. But each time I rolled over......and dozed back to sleep. Until finally Booger came and curled up on my chest. Sleep time is now over. ;) Sipping a little coffee, got some laundry started before it too hot outside, and thinking about 'the list' I started yesterday of all things I'd like to accomplish over the next week to 3 months. It will certainly be added too. But, the thrill of crossing things off a list is one that I enjoy very much.

Yesterday Jason and I went down to the Ada house to prep a few things for a potential sale/closing on it in the next week. If it does sell, it will be a huge relief for us. After those chores we headed over the Hyde Park and the Parrilla Grill for some refreshments. Jason certainly deserved it. Joe met us there for a bit and we ran into my pal from Hillside, Eric Rausch. Then back to home base, Lucas rolled up on his Harley to visit for a bit, a few more little chores and tidying around the house, then a delicious dinner of Jason's famous curry chicken. mmmmmmm. As the sun set and the almost full moon rose, we rested on our deck, admiring our new string of night-lights and the hummingbirds zipping in for an evening snack. Life is so good.

Fresh Start - First Day of Summer Break

It's time get back in the saddle and give this mom/dad thing a try again. We had a bit of a set back over the winter - but life is full challenges and how you deal with them determines the energy that flows into and out of your world. Jason and I both have gone through a period of healing the last 5 months and we are excited and happy to be living this wonderful life of ours. Especially now that it's summer break!!!! This will be Summer #2 of no school and no work......oh what adventures we will have!

BTW - no nugget news to report yet - so stay calm.

On a side note: I started a new hobby a few months ago with my best girl Kt......CROCHETING! It has an awesome way to relieve stress and keep my mind and hands busy. I would like to keep a record of my projects here....so if you find that part boring.....please forgive me. ;)
